PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE

Psychologist and Co-Owner, Triangle Psychoeducational Consultants, Raleigh, NC. Provide psychotherapy to children, adolescents, adults, and families. Conduct psychoeducational evaluations and treatment  planning for child, adolescent, and adult clients. Additional activities include consultation and collaboration with schools, physicians, mental health providers, and other community agencies, December 00-present.

Maternity Leave/Doctoral Dissertation Completion, September 99-December 00.

Doctoral Psychologist Intern, Roanoke-Chowan Human Services Center, Ahoskie, NC. Conducted screening assessments of clients as well as treatment planning. Also provided individual and family therapy, crisis intervention, and home-school-community collaboration services. Other activities included case consultation with Center staff, the provision of inservice programming for area schools, and psychoeducational evaluation of child and adolescent clients, September 98-September 99.

Research Assistant, Department of Psychology, North Carolina State University. Worked on a grant with a faculty member involving the inclusion of students with disabilities in effective school-based change at two local elementary schools. Activities included research on the appropriate use of individual student assistants, data analyses of program outcomes, and school wide consultation and newsletter writing regarding discipline and classroom management, August 95-May 97.
